We have different kinds of studies:

  • Compulsory secondary studies(General certificate of secondary education).
  • Post-compulsory secondary studies(A-levels). We have two modalities, studies in science and arts.
  • Basic vocational training, modality in computers.
  • Professional training. Modality to get the certificate of Senior Technician in childhood education. Online and offline learning.

Our team

We are about 25 teachers working on it. Our team is formed by teachers of the different subjects of secondary studies and A-levels. Some interesting details about blended learning.

As far as the structure is concerned, we must keep in mind three essential characteristics of blended learning, the individual sessions, group sessions and the virtual classroom.

The individual sessions let students get in face-to-face contact with the teachers. Thus, they can ask as many questions about the different subjects as the want to.  They are very useful to sort out problems and worries about the subjects.

 

The group sessions are really similar to a common group classes, despite the fact that they must be more summarized due to the lack of time, only a session a week per subject.

 

Finally, we have the virtual classroom, we use a well-known virtual platform called Moodle. It is a crucial tool for all the students, specially those who can’t attend the individual and group sessions. In any case, it is used by all the students, there they can find teaching materials, mock exams, planning subjects, in summary, all they need to follow the subject. Thus, we can consider our studies like blended studies, because the students have the chance of  coming to the school depending whether they have enough free time or not

 

Student profile

Our students are adults, from 18 on, even though we have some special cases who are underage students. Those underage students must justify that they can’t go to a ordinary school because, either they are working or they are taking part in sport competitions.

 

Characterístics of General certificate of secondary education.

It is divided in four courses, each one lasts 4 months. They have to do all the courses or just part of them depending whether they have passed some of the subjects previously or not.

 

Courses go from October to January or from February to June. Enrolment is really flexible, they can do as many subjects as they want to, and different levels as the same time.

 

Characteristics of A-levels

It is formed for two courses which last one year. As it happens in secondary education, they just have to do the subjects they failed previously o they haven’t done yet.

 

Courses go from October to May, they are divided in three terms. In contrast to secondary studies, they can do retaken exams in September.

 

Enrolment is really flexible too. Not only can they do as many subjects as they want  to, but they also can enrol in different levels as the same time.


SECONDARY STUDIES  SUBJECTS

 

  ECONOMY

The importance of the economy in today's world is clear: it depends proper functioning of business, the value of money over time, capacity production and employment levels. For this reason, economic studies financial and real markets, the role of the state in the modern economy, trade international globalization, the production structure, sources of growth economic, etc. It also analyzes how social and cultural elements, such as eg corruption decisively influence the economy of a country: its productive worker training, saving, borrowing, the consumption patterns, among others. You can not forget the usefulness of leading economic indicators, such as eg GDP, unemployment, the deficit or risk premium, when understand and interpret the economic situation in which a country is immersed. Finally, today the economy develops and globally individual. Therefore, it is essential to understand the political and economic relations between the countries, which determine global economic activity, the production on a global scale migratory movements, movements of capital and world Economic growth.

PHYCOLOGY

Matter is the multiple aspects of the individual as a person ( personality , character , emotions, conscious- unconscious , intelligence, etc.) , the multiple interpretations that this may be different depending on schools current psychological ( functionalism gestaltism , cognitive linguistics , psychoanalysis behaviorism , etc.) , personality disorders ( narcissistic personality antisocial histrionics , etc.) , major diseases and psychological disorders ( phobias , bulimia , anorexia , depression, schizophrenia , etc.) as well as therapies implemented today for treatment.

 

BIOLOGY

In this study biomolecules that make up living matter , components and cellular structures , most important metabolic pathways , highlighting processes such as photosynthesis and cellular respiration among others. Besides, It also describes the mechanisms of inheritance , different types of microorganisms and functioning of the immune system.


FUNDAMENTAL OF ARTS

The knowledge of this subject organized in two parts fundamentals of art And given first baccalaureate and Foundations of Art II, the second high school, that will start next academic year 2016/17. The contents are divided by the as follows: from Prehistory until the eighteenth century in the first year of nineteenth century to the present day in the second year. Fundamentals of Art I should have presence of important theoretical content, thus facilitating student base initial training, especially regarding the specific artistic vocabulary. The study this course in the first year should focus on demonstrations artistic classic, it is the architecture, sculpture and painting. EARTH SCIENCE AND THE ENVIRONMENT

We will study the different layers of the Earth, the gaseous layer , the atmosphere, the layer formed by water, the hydrosphere , the solid layer , geosphere and Layer living biosphere and how they relate to each other and humanity. Besides, emphasizes the study of environmental problems arising from pollution Earth and corrective measures that can be implemented at local and international.


CONTEMPORARY SCIENCIES

We will study various scientific topics , the evolution of the universe Earth, the evolution of living beings and hominids until the actual human being. It also studied infectious and non-infectious , dedicating a song to cancer, assisted reproductive techniques and their relationship with healing diseases. Finally, treat risks and environmental problems and contribute actions to give them answers , as well as the study of new materials and new applications of science and technology, such as nanotechnology .

 

TIC

It 's an unfulfilled introduction to computing in general. It is divided into two parts . A theoretical explained the basic concepts of hardware and knowledge of communication between machines and  another practice in which intended for students learn to use some basic programs such as  package OpenOffice and GIMP.

 

CULTURE MEDIA AND ARTISTIC DRAWING

Students discuss the visual and audiovisual language in three projects : poster , video , and advertisement . Drawing artistic aim is to make certain depth own drawing materials and their possibilities Graphing plastic in representing models of natural as well as retention or imaginary , his expressive potential and purpose semantics.

 

Students of this course should be able to represent graphically , and sketches
Study aspects of the environment with perspective effects , and provided with contrasts lights . Also to perform scientific drawing shapes natural and artificial and graphically represent the various aspects of a form.


VOLUME

TECHNICAL DRAWING

It is highly recommended for those interested in continuing studies design ( graphic design, interior design , fashion design , product design, jewelry design , layout , etc ), or industrial engineering or stage advertising.

 

LATIN

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

The electrical engineering or electrical engineering is the engineering that studies applications of electricity and electromagnetism in general. The technology is a field of activity as a result of the relationship between science and Technical .. technology ( know how and why it does) , is the result of activity intersection of research that provides knowledge and apply criteria to improve the results of the intervention material on the environment , and the technique , which provides operational experience accumulated empirical knowledge from tradition and working.

 

UNIVERSAL LITERATURE

Universal Literature tries to offer fundamental notions about the main periods , movements and authors of Western literature . The approach adopted is basically chronological , so the course program is structured according to the following periods :Antiquity , Middle Ages, Renaissance, Modernity . They are divided into three blocks.
